Originally the Alberta Vocational Center, Keyano College was established in 1965 in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. In addition to its opening ceremony in 1966, the vocational center changed its name to Keyano in 1975. Furthermore, the college officially became a post-secondary educational institute and went public in 1978. Today, the institute educates over 1,400 students on its grounds.
