Laurea University Finland

Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Laurea-Ammattikorkeakoulu) is an applied sciences institution in Uusimaa, Southern Finland. It was established in 1992 as the Espoo-Vantaa Polytechnic and was renamed its current name in 2001. Laura has over 7,800 registered students and approximately 550 staff members. With a low acceptance rate of 7%, only 1,160 applicants out of 15,700 were admitted in 2020. Campuses of Laurea University Finland are 6 in Espoo, Lohja, Porvoo, Otaniemi, Hyvinkää, and Tikkurila.

The Laurea University of Applied Sciences has recognition from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland. Besides, programs offered at Laurea University include 7 Bachelor programs and 3 Master programs in Business Information Technology, Nursing, Social Services, Hospitality Management & Service Design entirely in English, along with many Finnish courses. The Laurea University of Applied Sciences Nursing Program is the most popular among all these programs.

However, all international applicants applying for degree programs in the English Language must provide an IELTS test (or equivalent) certificate. The university has a unique learning model called Learning by Developing (LBD).
