University of Salford History

Originally the Pendleton Mechanics Institute, the University of Salford was established in 1850 in Salford, England, United Kingdom. With only nine initial departments, the institution offered construction, mechanical, and chemical works courses. Moreover, the school had a little over 1,000 students in its first batch.
