Originally a Basilian College, the University of St. Michael's College was established in 1852 in Toronto, Canada. The following year, the college merged with a Seminary and started delivering education at preparatory, college, and seminary levels. Moreover, in 1883, the college established an affiliation with the University of Toronto. In addition, in 1910, it became a federated college of UofT.
