Eligibility criteria
If you are an ambitious Filipino graduate with strong academic potential and financial need, this scholarship could be written for you. To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements: • Must be a Filipino citizen and under 35 years old as of April 1, 2026 • Must have completed or be completing at least 15 years of education by March 2026 • Must belong to the top 5% of the class or have a GWA of 1.25 (GPA 2.75) or better • Must receive a recommendation from a university president or academic advisor • Must show excellent academic performance, strong motivation, and good moral character • Must not be receiving any other scholarship • Must demonstrate financial need • Must be in good physical and mental health • Must be able to participate in screenings in the Philippines • Must be willing to meet Japanese language proficiency requirements after passing the second screening This scholarship is ideal for students in Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, and Engineering who are ready to represent the Philippines on a global academic stage.
