Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for The Belt and Road Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions: Nationality: Must be a non-Chinese citizen with a valid passport. Academic Requirements: High school graduates applying for bachelor’s programs. Bachelor’s degree holders applying for master’s programs. Master’s degree holders applying for doctoral programs. Age Limit: Undergraduate: 18-30 years Master’s: 18-35 years PhD: 18-40 years Health & Conduct: Must be in good health and abide by Chinese laws and SWUFE regulations. Language Proficiency: For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5 with at least 60 points or proof of prior Chinese language study. For English-taught programs: IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 80 (Undergraduates) IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 95 (Graduates) Exemption for native English speakers or those with prior English-medium education. Scholarship Exclusivity: Applicants must not hold any other scholarships in China.
