Eligibility criteria

Preference will be given to students from lower to middle income NSW families from the following backgrounds - trades, small farming, small business, administrative support, from a single parent family or is a single parent. The following information, while not compulsory, may help in the assessment of your application. This information can be provided below in the "Additional Financial Information" free text field located in the Individual and Family Circumstances section of the online application form :- Parents' current occupations where applicable Applicant's accommodation status during university year (e.g. at home / on campus / rental property) Please indicate whether you would be prepared to move on campus if awarded this scholarship The purpose of these scholarships is to provide opportunities for eligible applicants who need financial assistance to study. In order to claim financial need you must provide evidence of your financial circumstances through either: a. receipt of a relevant Centrelink (or other Commonwealth) means-tested income support payment (such as Austudy, ABSTUDY, Youth Allowance etc), or b. by providing comprehensive information (supported by documentation) demonstrating financial circumstances, including whether you have any other means of financial support available to you. If you have experienced circumstances such as a long term illness, disability, or difficult family circumstances or background which have impacted on your financial position then you should include this information. The more information you can provide, the better we are able to assess your level of need. If you provide any information about any other person (including family members) then you must obtain their consent before you do so.
