Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the age and academic requirements set by the university and the Chinese Government Scholarship system. Bachelor’s applicants must be under 25 years old, Master’s applicants under 35, and Doctoral applicants under 40, with all candidates required to be in good physical health. Academically, applicants for top-tier funding should have an average score of at least 80/100 or a GPA of 3.2/4.0, while Class B scholarship applicants must meet a minimum of 75/100 or GPA 3.0/4.0. For Chinese-taught programs, language proficiency is mandatory, with HSK Level 3 required for Bachelor’s and non-degree applicants and HSK Level 4 required for Master’s and Doctoral applicants.
