German DAAD Research Grants Scholarships 2026 With 1400/Month Stipend Available

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the DAAD Research Grants in Germany, applicants must be either enrolled in a doctoral program at a university outside Germany or be postdoctoral researchers who have completed their PhD no more than four years prior to the application deadline. They must provide proof of language proficiency in either English or German, depending on the language of their proposed research project. A formal agreement with a German academic host who will supervise the research is required, along with a well-prepared and compelling research proposal and a clear motivation statement outlining the significance of the project and the applicant’s goals.
