Eligibility criteria
To apply for this prestigious scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements: Be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. Hold a high school diploma and be under 25 years of age. Applicants under 18 years of age (as of September 1, 2025) must provide a guardian certificate from the Tianjin District Notary Office. Best online courses Demonstrate language proficiency: For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (180+) or Level 5 (180+) based on program requirements. For English-taught programs: TOEFL (80+) or IELTS (6.0+). Native speakers of respective languages are exempted. Exhibit good conduct, physical and mental health, and willingness to comply with Chinese laws and Tianjin University regulations.
