Scholarship Value
The scholarship will fund 3.5 years of PhD research and includes: Annual Stipend: UKRI rate (~£18,622 per year for 2024, subject to change), Tuition Fees: Fully covered at the home or international rate, Research Training Support Grant: Up to £940 per year, Commencement Bursary: A one-time payment at the start of the PhD.

Eligibility criteria
1# Academic Qualifications: Advertisement A minimum upper second-class honors (2:1) undergraduate degree (or international equivalent) in social sciences. A Master’s degree is an advantage but not mandatory. Applicants without a master’s must have a first-class undergraduate degree or distinction. 2# Demographic Eligibility: International Scholarships (3): Open to candidates from Least Developed, Low Income, Lower Middle Income, or Upper Middle Income countries as listed by the OECD. Home Scholarships (2): Open to UK widening participation candidates.
