Eligibility criteria
IADT welcome applications for a sanctuary scholarship from people meeting the below criteria. Applicants should be non-EU citizens and either: be an International Protection Applicant, OR have been deemed a Refugee, OR have been deemed eligible for Subsidiary Protection, OR have been granted Permission to Remain in Ireland Applicants should not be eligible for the state Free Fees scheme, SUSI grants, or any other state support. Applicants should meet the academic eligibility criteria for their chosen programme (including English Language Requirements) Applicants must have (within the last two years) or intend to have completed (in 2025) either: the Leaving Certificate examination or equivalent school-leaving examination, OR a QQI/FETAC full award, OR be a Mature Applicant (i.e. over the age of 23 on 1 January 2025). Applicants should be living in the Republic of Ireland at the time of application. Applicants must be attending higher education for the first time for undergraduate applicants, or progressing in higher education for postgraduate applicants. Applicants should be able to produce documentary evidence to verify their status. Each scholarship is valid for the duration of the programme of study.
