Eligibility criteria
The criterion is the student’s family socio-economic situation. The same system and criteria used for all aids allocated by the University are applied. Applications from foreign students (where foreign=those who have their permanent residence outside Cyprus) are considered separately and the application of the criteria is done proportionally (only the financial situation of the student’s family is taken into account). Scholarship positions between Cypriots and foreign students are allocated proportionally to the number of Cypriot and foreign students in all Master and PhD-level programs. Following a recommendation from the Service for Academic Affairs and Student Welfare, the Rector Council may allocate a scholarship (full or partial, in the form of a tuition waiver) from the University’s Central Own Revenue, to candidates with top achievements in sport, in accordance with the criteria set out in Annex 9 of the Rules of Study and Academic Affairs.
