Finland

About

Finland's education system ranks among the top 5 education systems of the world with over 290,000 higher education students. In Finland, there's less focus on exams and more on practical projects and real-world problem-solving. Most degree programs are tuition-free for EU students, and living costs are reasonable for a Nordic country, but non-EU/EEA students pay between €6,000 to €18,000 per academic year. The Finnish government and universities offer approximately 1,000 scholarships annually to international students, ranging from 50% to 100% tuition coverage. Success rates for international applications vary between 10-30%, depending on the program and university.

Student life here is a mix of modern and natural where you might start your day in a high-tech classroom and end it watching the Northern Lights. In cities like Helsinki and Tampere, you'll experience a study culture where professors are more like mentors, and creativity is as valued as technical knowledge.
